Wild Elk Wooden Night Light

Brian Orndorff

Where are the elk after the sun goes down? Hand crafted from Montana Douglas Fir. Using a scroll saw, Brian adds a red 7 watt light. He has chosen red light bulbs as red doesn't dilate your eyes in the night, therefore it is easier to fall back to sleep. Pretty in the daytime and helpful when the lights are off. These make great gifts any time of the year.

Disclaimer: No two-night lights are the same, as the natural rings in the wood are unique to the disks cut from the log.

Dimensions: The wood is 3/8" thick with approx. dimensions of 3 1/2" X 4".

Lighting: 110v. 7w red light

The light switch is manual (not automatic).

About the artisan:
Brian started making these night lights in August of 1999. He has made around 14,000, selling mostly at local Farmer Markets in Flathead valley. He retired from Plum Creek Plywood in 2005. Brian continued his craft making night lights wherever they were camped and found a market for them in RV parks and local craft shows. Brian enjoys making his Douglas Fir Night Lights, meeting new people, and selling his craft.
