    How do I get more information about becoming a vendor on your store?

    Hooray! We are always looking for new artists to represent! If you are a Montana artisan, please e-mail Distinctly Montana Gift’s owner Anthea George at anthea@distinctlymontana.com with a short description of what type of art you create. We also highly encourage you to include photos of your artwork or a link to your website/etsy page in your e-mail.

    Need Corporate or Special Orders for Events and Celebrations?

    Larger quantity orders can be accommodated, usually with a bit of planning. Tiered discounts are available and depend on the specific product and the quantity you would like to order. Please contact us at HereForYou@distinctlymontana.com for details.

    Are all of your items always available?

    Occasionally, we may not have a product readily available since all of our items are handcrafted and often one-of-a-kind. 

    We keep our store as up to date as possible but when representing over 50+ artisans, occasionally, we are not notified immediately about an out of stock item.  On the rare occasion that you order an out of stock item, we will notify you right away.

    Is the color I see on my computer exactly the color of the item?

    Our best answer is "almost always".  We work very hard to photograph each product to best represent the actual color but computer monitors are tricky and different computers display differently so variations can occur.

    And while we are on the subject of variations - so much of what you see in our store are handmade items using natural materials so slight variations will occur. Made-to-order gifts are unique and no two can be exactly alike. We can say that the item you see on the product page will be very similar to what you will receive.

    Is your site secure?

    When you provide your credit card number at checkout, your information is protected with encrypted technology.  Our store functions on an e-commerce platform called Shopify that has the highest ranking for credit card processing protection.  On top of that, we also integrate McAfee Secure on our store to continually test and verify that we remain secure.

    Payment Methods and Sales Tax?

    We accept payment in Visa, Master Card, American Express and Pay Pal only in U.S. Dollars.

    We do not charge sales tax on any order. (Hooray Montana for being one of five states with NO sales tax!)



    What Shipping Methods Do You Offer?

    Shipping carriers and methods are the choice of our artisans and we currently do not offer this choice to our customers. Our gift store features 50+ artists and artisans from all over Montana. Each of our vendors use their preferred shipping carrier and method, which usually is standard shipping through USPS, FedEx or UPS.

    Since we represent many Montana artisans, if you are purchasing more than 1 product, each item may be shipped separately by different artisans depending on what you order. Each product page has specific shipping time frames.  Items may come by USPS, UPS or FedX - usually standard shipping for that carrier or in the case of USPS it may be priority- it is the choice of the artisan.

    What if I need it in a hurry?

    This is where we excel in customer service.  Prior to ordering, contact us at HereForYou@distinctlymontana.com and tell us what you would like to order, when you need it and leave us your phone number. We will check with the artisan and get back to you as soon as possible on whether it is possible for them to rush your order.  If it is possible, we will quote you the express shipping rate for the item(s) to achieve your deadline.  Depending on the item, we can usually accommodate these special requests.

    Made to Order products may not be as easy to overnight/express.

    Do you ship outside of the continental United States?

    At this time, we only ship within the Continental U.S.

    Do you include gift receipts with your shipments?

    We do not automatically include gift receipts with our shipments, since we do not personally ship the items ourselves. However, by request only, we can include a “Gift from: (name)” note in the shipment, we can almost always accommodate this request. You may ask us to include a gift receipt either in the “Notes to Distinctly Montana” section at checkout or by e-mailing us at HereForYou@distinctlymontana.com



    What is your policy for Returns and Refunds?

    If you are not happy with your purchase for any reason, we offer a 30-day money back guarantee provided you:

    • return it within 30 days of receiving the item
    • return it in it's original packaging 
    • return it in it's original condition 

    Exceptions to this policy are personalized items, subscriptions and a few other specific items. The No Return is clearly marked on the specific product pages for these specific items.  

    Please contact us HereForYou@distinctlymontana.com if you need to return or exchange an item for any reason. We will write you back with the appropriate shipping address for the item being returned or exchanged.

    What about for Damaged or Defective Items?

    All items we sell are returnable if defective or damaged.  Please contact us right away at HereForYou@distinctlymontana.com  before sending the product back and we will instruct you.   A full refund plus your return shipping costs or a replacement will be issued to you.

    What about Exchanges?

    Contact us atHereForYou@distinctlymontana.com  and reference the order number on the  packing slip.  We will instruct you depending on whether it is an even exchange or if there is a difference in price on your exchange as to where to send the product.  We do not reimburse you shipping costs on the exchange but will pay the cost to send the new item to you.
