Crochet Alpaca Hat, Brimmed

James and Sarah Budd

Softer than cashmere, warmer than sheep's wool, exceptionally breathable, hypo-allergenic and super-resistant to water - alpaca wool is extremely durable and one of the best natural fibers for cold weather.

Alpacas are raised in Bozeman. Alpaca fur is sheared and spun on-site, and the clothing is hand-knit by the ranch owners. This is an exceptional product of the highest quality. Your alpaca fur hat will last for many years.

The most common hat size for is women 22 and men 7 1/8 and up. To measure the size of a person’s head, use a flexible tape measure to measure the circumference at the widest part of the head, usually an inch above the eyebrows. This is the measurement for a woman’s hat. To determine the size for a man’s hat, divide the circumference measurement (in inches) by pi or about 3.14. Do not measure the diameter of the head.
